On 25th April 2026, we had the privilege to travel to The Grange Theatre, Hartford, to receive the Rotary Young Citizen Award 2026 for our voluntary/free Origami Workshops, in partnership with Lab Central at the Redbridge Central Library. It is very motivating and encouraging to be recognised for our small contribution to our community. We met lots of amazing people there who had won awards in other categories, and were amazed to watch the musical performances by many talented young people. It only inspired us to do more in the future! We were also very happy to see that a lot of parents of other children congratulated us and praised us for our work and confidence. It was lovely meeting all the Rotary staff. We also answered some questions about our workshops on the stage before we received our award. It was a fabulous day, one that we will never forget! We would like to send a special thanks to Maria at the Lab Central for always supporting us, and also Peter at the Barkingside and Redbridge Rotary Club for facilitating everything for us. Also, a big thank you to the entire staff of Rotary International Great Britain and Ireland for such brilliant events and initiatives. We hope we can inspire other children in our community to be involved as well.
